BATMAN/TMNT SKETCH COVER PAINTING STAGE THREE

Two down and two more to go. Here’s a look at Donatello finished up on this Batman/TMNT Sketch Cover commission. I started this stage by outlining all the different areas with Fabre-Castell Art pens and POSCA Paint Markers. Then I painted all the green face area first, then painted in the mask area. Next, I painted the body green areas and the purple wristband. From there, I moved on to painting the back shell area and then moved to painting the front chest area. Lastly, I painted the leather strap and the staff to finish up this stage.

BATMAN/TMNT SKETCH COVER PAINTING STAGE TWO

One down and three more to go. Here’s a look at Michelangelo finished up on this Batman/TMNT Sketch Cover commission. I started this stage by outlining all the different areas with Fabre-Castell Art pens and POSCA Paint Markers. Then I painted all the green face area first, then painted in the mask area. Next, I painted the body green areas. From there, I moved on to painting the back shell area and then moved to painting the front chest area. Lastly, I painted the nunchaku.

BATMAN/TNMT SKETCH COVER PAINTING STAGE ONE

Here’s a glimpse of a new Batman/TMNT sketch cover commission I am currently knocking out.

I started with pencilling out the overall design. Once the pencils were finished, I painted in the bat symbol and the four panel areas. From there, I masked off the top logo area, each turtle and the bat symbol. Next up I painted in the rust color background with a cheap house paint brush and a small sponge. Lastly, I used the Liquitex Free Style splatter brush in each area to complete the background. Supplies used during this stage were Liquitex Softbody Acrylic Paint, Golden Acrylic Paint, Fabre-Castell PITT Artist Pens and POSCA Paint pens.

THE ARMORER POSTER DESIGN

I’ve been away working on a lot of various projects and haven’t had a chance to share them with you. Here’s a poster design that I recently finished featuring the Armorer from the Mandalorian. The Armorer & Stormtroopers were rendered traditionally and the background was rendered digitally. Here’s the finished poster design combining the two together.

Been busy working on a few projects, but was able to put the finishing touches on the Nyx in a different style illustration. I’m thinking about having this design printed as a 18″x24″ poster and also printed on shirt.
